Sofie is a new lace weight mohair from the Ontario hand dyers at Koigu Studio.  Hold it together with another yarn to add a halo effect or work as a single strand. Lace mohair and silk yarn is a luxurious, lightweight blend used for delicate, airy, and elegant knitting or crochet projects. This type of yarn typically combines the softness and fluffiness of mohair with the sheen and strength of silk, creating a fine, wispy texture that's perfect for shawls, scarves, and layering pieces and very popular currently for sweaters and cardigans for adding extra warmth and that lovely, subtle halo of the brushed mohair fibres.
